They have mouths but they do not speak

The idols of the nations are silver and gold The work of men’s hands They have mouths but they do not speak Eyes they have but they do not see, They have ears, but they do not hear; nor is there any breath in their mouth Those who make them are like them So is everyone who trusts in them Bless the Lord Oh House of Israel Bless the Lord Oh house of Aaron Bless the Lord Oh house of Levi You who fear the Lord Bless the Lord Psalm 135; 15-20 To Him who laid the earth above the waters Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His mercies endures forever, Oh give thanks to the God of gods, For His mercies endures forever Oh give thanks to the Lord of lords for His mercies endures for ever, To Him who alone does great wonders For his mercies endures forever, To Him who by wisdom made the heavens For His mercies endures forever To Him who laid the earth above the waters For His mercies endures forever Psalm 136:1-6 To Him who made great lights To Him who made great lights For His mercie
The Lord is on my side I will not fear, What can man do tome The Lord is for me among those who help me Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in Man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in Princes. All nations surrounded me but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them They surrounded me like bees; they were quenched like a fire of thorns, For in the name of the Lord, I will destroy them You pushed me violently that I might fall but the Lord helped me The Lord is my strength and song and He has become my salvation Psalm 118: 4-14 The right hand of the Lord does valiantly, The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tent of the righteous: The right hand of the Lord does valiantly, The right hand of the lord is exalted, The right hand of the lord does valiantly Psalm 118:15-16 The stone which the builders rejected I shall not die but live And declare the goodness of the lord in the Land of

You have a reputation of being alive... but…

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead., Wake up, strengthen what remains and is about to die For I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember therefore, what you have received and heard, obey it and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief and you will not know what time I will come to you. Revelations 3:1-3 He who overcomes will like them be dressed in white Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes, they will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes Will like them be dressed in white, I will never blot out his name from the book of life but will acknowledge His name before my father and His angels. He, who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches. Revelations 3:4-6 An open door that no one can shut I know your deeds, see; I have placed before you,

You called in trouble and I delivered you,

Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob Raise a song and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp and the lute Blow the trumpet at the time of the new moon on our solemn feast day For this is a statute for Israel, a law of the God of Jacob This He established in Joseph as a testimony when he went throughout the land of Egypt where I heard a language, I did not understand I removed his shoulder from the burden; His hands were freed from the Basket You called in trouble and I delivered you, I answered you in the secret place of thunder I tested you at the waters of Meribah, There shall be no foreign God among you or shall you; nor shall you worship any foreign god Psalm 81:1-9 Open your mouth wide and I will fill it . I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. But my people will not heed my voice and Israel will have none of me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart to walk in thei

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have, you murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that scripture says in vain, “The spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?” But he gives more grace. Therefore he says “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:1-6 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up Therefore submit to God, resist the Devil and He will flee from you Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. Lament and mourn and

My glory and the one who lifts up my head

Lord, how they have increased who trouble me. Many are they who rise up against me Many are they who say of me, there is no help for him in God. But you Oh Lord are a shield for me, My glory and the one who lifts up my head I cried to the Lord with my voice And he heard me from His holy hill I lay down and slept I awoke for he Lord sustained me I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise O Lord save me, O my God, for you have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone, you have broken the teeth of the ungodly. Psalm 3:1-7 Have mercy on me and hear my prayer Hear me when I call Oh God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1 The Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly How long O you sons of men will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; the Lord will h

His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God. His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. Within its citadels God has shown himself a sure defense. Then the kings assembled, they came on together. Psalm 48: 1-4 As we have heard, so have we seen As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic, they took to flight; trembling took hold of them there, pains as of a woman in labor, as when an east wind shatters the ships of Tarshish. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God, which God establishes forever Selah Psalm 48: 5-8 Your right hand is filled with victory We ponder your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. Your name, O God, like your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with victory. Let Mount Zion be glad, let the towns of Judah rejoice because of your judgments. Psa

May He send you help from the sanctuary

May the lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you May He send you help from the sanctuary and strengthen you out of Zion. Psalm 20: 1-1-2 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, May He remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions Psalm 20;3-5 Some trusts in chariots and some in horses Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trusts in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God They have bowed down the fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call. Psalm 20: 6-8 With the blessings of goodness For You meet him with the blessings of goodness,

In their illness you heal all their infirmities.

Happy are those who consider the poor; the LORD delivers them in the day of trouble. The LORD protects them and keeps them alive; they are called happy in the land. You do not give them up to the will of their enemies. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed; in their illness you heal all their infirmities. As for me, I said, “O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you.” My enemies wonder in malice when I will die, and my name perish And when they come to see me, they utter empty words, while their hearts gather mischief; when they go out, they tell it abroad. Psalm 41:1-6 My enemy has not triumphed over me By this I know that you are pleased with me; because my enemy has not triumphed over me. But you have upheld me because of my integrity, and set me in your presence forever. Psalm 41:11-12 Even my bosom friend They think that a deadly thing has fastened on me, that I will not rise again from where I lie. Even my bosom friend in whom I trusted, who ate of my br

For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday

Lord you have been our dwelling place in all the generations Before the mountains were brought forth or ever, You had formed the earth and the world Even from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You turn man to destruction, And say “return Oh children of men” For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday When it is past and like a watch in the night. You carry them away like a flood, they are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up In the morning it flourishes and grows up; in the evening it is cut down and withers. For we have been consumed by your anger and by your wrath we are terrified You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of your countenance Psalm 90:1-8 Their boast is only labour and sorrow; For all our days have passed away in your wrath, We finish our years like a sigh The days of our lives are seventy years And if by any reason of strength, They are eighty years old, Yet their boast is only labour and sorrow; F

But the Lord shall endure forever

I will praise You O Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your marvelous works I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to you name O most High. When my enemies turn back they shall fall and perish at your presence. For you have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness. You have rebuked the nations; You have destroyed the wicked You have blotted out their name forever and ever. O enemy destructions are finished forever! And you have destroyed cities even their memories have perished. But the Lord shall endure forever. He has prepared His throne for judgment. Psalm 9:1-7 ;For you Oh Lord have not forsaken those who seek you He shall judge the world in righteousness and He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble And those who know your name will put their trust in you; for you Oh Lord have not forsaken those who seek you Psalm 9:8-10

He is the one who made everything

The Lord made the earth by His power; By His wisdom He created the world And stretched out the heavens At His command, the waters above the sky roar; He brings cloud from the ends of the earth He makes lightning flash in the rain and sends the winds from His store room At the sight of this, people feel stupid and senseless Those who make idols are disillusioned, because the gods they make are false and lifeless They are worthless and should be despised They will be destroyed when the Lord comes to deal with them The God of Jacob is not like them. He is the one who made everything And He has chosen Israel to be His own very people. The Lord Almighty is His name. Jeremiah 10 12-16 I will make you well again But now, all who devour you will be devoured And all your enemies will be taken away as prisoners All who oppress you will be oppressed And all who plunder you will be plundered I will make you well again I will heal your wounds Though your enemies say: ‘Zion is an outcast, no one c

Who honor those who fear the Lord

O LORD, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill? Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart; who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors; in whose eyes the wicked are despised, but who honor those who fear the LORD; who stand by their oath even to their hurt; who do not lend money at interest, and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:1-5 For they flatter themselves in their own eyes Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; there is no fear of God before their eyes. For they flatter themselves in their own eyes that their iniquity cannot be found out and hated. The words of their mouths are mischief and deceit; they have ceased to act wisely and do good. They plot mischief while on their beds; they are set on a way that is not good; they do not reject evil. Psalm 36: 1-4 You

It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue; it is an unruly evil full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and father and with it we curse men who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree my brethren bear olives? Or a grapevine bears figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh. James 3: 6- 12 Do not boast and lie against truth Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts, do not

In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun

The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and nothing is hid from its heat. Psalm 19: 1-6 The commandment of the LORD is clear, The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the LORD are sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eyes; Psalm 19: 7-8 The ordinances of the LORD are true The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are true and righte
