TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “...When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19, KJV) TODAY’S WORD  from Joel and Victoria We all have times when we feel overwhelmed by life. You get a bad report, unexpected news, or someone you trusted wrongs you. What does God do? He doesn’t sit back and think, “Too bad. Sorry your life is so difficult.” No, when the enemy comes in like a flood, God raises up a barrier. In other words, that injustice, that bad break, that sickness gets God’s attention. He doesn’t sit back. He goes to work! It’s like a parent with a child. If someone or something is giving them a hard time, you don’t think twice. You stop what you’re doing and immediately go to help. That’s the way it is with our heavenly Father. When the enemy comes in like a flood, God steps up and says, “Hey, wait a minute. You’re messing with the wrong person! That’s my son. That’s my daughter. If you’re going to mess wit

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Start giving your life away, and before you know it the blessings of God will chase you down and overtake you. You may think that there is very little, if anything, that you can give, but that’s just not true. You’ve got plenty to give because many times giving has nothing to do with money or possessions. You can give a smile, you can give a word of encouragement, or you can give your time. Begin each day with a determination to be a blessing to as many other people as possible. That’s a great goal to begin each day chasing! A PRAYER FOR TODAY God, thank You for thinking of me first. Give me the strength and insight to see the needs of others and help fulfill them. I know when I do this I will begin experiencing Your blessing! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” (Romans 12:6, NIV) TODAY’S WORD  from Joel and Victoria Understanding why God put you here is one of the most important principles when it comes to discovering your unique purpose and calling in life. Thereason is that knowing why you are here on earth helps you answer the question of why God has uniquely gifted you the way He has, and what He has called you to accomplish individually. There’s nothing more exciting than to discover your purpose, your area of calling and really focus on it! Don’t let the enemy tell you you’ve been forgotten or left out. God has not left anybody out. You have talents, you have abilities, you have natural strengths and you need to be aware of what they are and make sure that you’re taking advantage of them and using them for His glory. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14, NIV) TODAY’S WORD  from Joel and Victoria                    God has planted His seed of hope, power and victory inside of you! All you have to do is allow God to bring the best out of your life and decide you won’t settle for “good enough.” It may not always be easy to do this, but it’s very possible! Perhaps you have made a hurtful mistake in your past, and that is still haunting you. If you let the enemy tell you that you’re not good enough for God’s forgiveness, then you’re settling for less than God’s victory. Setbacks are part of life, but Jesus said He came to give you an abundant life! If you decide to strive for excellence, there is no limit to what the Lord can do through you and with you. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’ ” (Luke  2:13 –14, NIV) TODAY’S WORD  from Joel and Victoria On the night Jesus was born, there were some shepherds out in the field. An angel appeared to them to tell them about Christ’s birth. Then suddenly, a host of angels appeared who were praising God. Scripture tells us that there are angels in heaven singing God’s praises day and night. Think about this: When you praise God, you are joining with the angels in heaven! What an awesome thought that we can be one with the heavenly hosts when we worship. As you celebrate Christmas Eve, take time to rejoice with the angels.
