You may say, “But I don’t deserve it!” You’re right. That’s what makes it His unmerited favor in your life. When you fail, Jesus is there to uphold you. Unlike some of your so-called “friends,” He doesn’t just take off. You can count on Him. He is a faithful, dependable and trustworthy friend. What's the point in dreading something that you have to do anyway? Decide to enjoy the things you dread today.

When God looks for someone to use, He doesn’t look for someone who has a perfect performance but one who has a right heart toward Him.

Jesus spoke about the broad way to hell “that leads to destruction”, jam-packed with people (Mat 7:13). He then planted His cross in the middle of that highway, spreading out His arms. It turned into the biggest roadblock of all times. “Repent” is the message – which means: change your direction. Zechariah 4:10, NLT It’s interesting to see how God never despises the little things. When the boy brought his five loaves and two fish, the disciple Andrew scoffed, condescendingly patted the boy on his head and said to Jesus, “What are they among so many?” In direct contrast, God did not despise the boy’s small lunch. So don’t despise the little things that you have right now. See them as your very own “five loaves and two fish” even when people around you mock and belittle you. They believe that to achieve success, you first need to have this educational certificate, that professional qualification, this particular job and that many years of hard work. We all must work, but the world wants you to believe that there is a natural process of sowing, reaping and gathering, accompanied by waiting, toiling and stress, before the good life actually comes. When there is a problem, He goes straight to the solution! Before Jesus stepped in to heal the man born blind, his disciples were caught up in uncovering whose sin had made the man blind. Jesus, on the other hand, was interested only in using His power to give the poor man sight! The same way Jesus didn’t get sucked into the “blame game” is the same way He doesn’t want you to. So don’t ask what or whose sin caused your sickness. Forget about what you should or shouldn’t have done or why it happened. We must understand that all that we have been blessed with comes from God Almighty (1 Chronicles 29:11-14), and it’s with a joyful heart that we should be continually obedient to following His will when it comes to managing the affairs of the kingdom.

God is the one who empowers us to do all things, so look to Him every day. With His help, there's nothing you can't do! (Phil 4:13)

You have to learn how to think right before you can live right. We become what we think. (Proverbs 23:7)

When we fill our thoughts with right things, the wrong ones have no room to enter.

Creation relates only to the Creator. Nothing exists for itself; no one exists in isolation from others – except rebellious sinners, who then lose their only validity, which is God. We are not our own meaning and without God we are irrelevant. Without God our world, its commerce, its industrious activities, its governments and its institutions become vanity and vexation of spirit, as motiveless as the wind that blows from south to north and back again (see Eccl 1:6). “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (Rev 4:11) God bless you. Dear friends, Too many Christians believe the enemy's lies that self-condemnation, or sin-consciousness are virtues for healthy Christian living. However, God's Word declares that because we are in Christ today, God does NOT condemn us. It is important to remove the destructive condemnation from your life so that you can break the cycle of defeat and live the abundant life God has planned for you ... . I believe that right believing leads to right living. You cannot set yourself free from condemnation by self-efforts. But when you believe the finished work of Jesus has made you righteous in God's eyes, you receive His power to reign over your negative circumstances and live the abundant life. Condemnation kills, but the Spirit gives life! Always look to the finished work of Jesus who paid the price for your freedom. Look and live!

The gospel affects us, stops us in our tracks, spins us round, and then gets us going – in the right direction. Do what God told you to do and be blessed. REINHARD BONNKE
