May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass,

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to a king's son. May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. May the mountains yield prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness. May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the needy, and crush the oppressor. May he live while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations. May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth. In his days may righteousness flourish and peace abound, until the moon is no more. Psalm 72: 1-7 May his foes bow down before him, May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. May his foes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust. May the kings of Tarshish and of the isles render him tribute, may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts. May all kings fall down before him, all nations give him service. Psalm 72: 8-11 He redeems the

For the righteous will never be moved

Praise the LORD! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in his commandments. Their descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever. They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous. It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever. Psalm 112: 1-6 He raises the poor He raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that he may seat him with princes with he princes of His people. Psalm 113:7-8 Their hearts are steady Their hearts are steady, they will not be afraid; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. They have distributed freely, they have given to the poor; their righteousness endures forever; their horn is exalted in honor. Psalm 112:8-9 They melt away

I call to remembrance my song in the night

I cried out to the Lord with my voice-to God with my voice and he gave ear to me In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord; my hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing, my soul refused to be comforted I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled I cannot speak I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart and my spirit makes diligent search Will the Lord cast off forever? Will He be favourable no more? Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Psalm 77:1-9 Your way Oh Lord is in the sanctuary And I said this is my anguish; but I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High I will remember the Works of the Lord, Surely I will remember the works of old I will also meditate on your work and talk of

He answers me from His holy hill

O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying to me, “There is no help for you in God.” Selah But you, O LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah Psalm 3:1-4 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me. I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Psalm 3:5-6 For you strike all my enemies on the cheek Rise up, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Deliverance belongs to the LORD; may your blessing be on your people! Selah Psalm 3:7-8 You have relieved me in my distress Hear me when I call O God, of my righteousness You have relieved me in my distress, have mercy on me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1 The Lord will hear when I call But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who

He shall cover you with His feathers

He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortresss; my God in Him, I will trust Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge His truth shall be your shield and buckler You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, or the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lay waste at noonday A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High your dwelling place, Psalm 91:1-9 He shall give his angels charge over you No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He shall give his angels charge over you to

The Lord is for me among those who help me

The Lord is on my side I will not fear, What can man do tome The Lord is for me among those who help me Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in Man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in Princes. All nations surrounded me but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them They surrounded me like bees; they were quenched like a fire of thorns, For in the name of the Lord, I will destroy them You pushed me violently that I might fall but the Lord helped me The Lord is my strength and song and He has become my salvation Psalm 118: 4-14 The right hand of the Lord does valiantly , The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tent of the righteous: The right hand of the Lord does valiantly, The right hand of the lord is exalted, The right hand of the lord does valiantly Psalm 118:15-16 The stone which the builders rejected I shall not die but live And declare the goodness of the lord in the Land o

His praise shall continually be in my mouth

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to him and were radiant and their faces were not ashamed This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles The angel of the Lord encamps around all around those who fear him and delivers them. Psalm 34: 1-7 Come you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Who is the man who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit Depart from evil and do good seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:11-14 His ears are open to their cry. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut o

And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.

Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, Both low and high, Rich and poor together. My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding. I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will express my riddle on the harp. Why should I fear in days of adversity, When the iniquity of my foes surrounds me, Even those who trust in their wealth And boast in the abundance of their riches? Psalm 49:1-6 For the redemption of his soul is costly, No man can by any means redeem his brother Or give to God a ransom for him— For the redemption of his soul is costly, And he should cease trying forever— That he should live on eternally, That he should not undergo decay. For he sees that even wise men die; The stupid and the senseless alike perish And leave their wealth to others. Psalm 49: 7-10 He is like the beasts that perish. Their inner thought is that their houses are forever And their dwelling places to all generations; They have called their land
