Let The Holy Spirit Intercede For You

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. Romans 8:26–28, NLT Sometimes, when our healing is not forthcoming, we just don’t know what else to pray. We’ve prayed from every angle we know how, using all the scriptures we know of, and yet, there doesn’t seem to be any breakthroughs. I want you to know that God has given us a weapon that will break down every barrier. It’s praying in tongues. When you don’t know what to pray, pray in the Holy Spirit and allow Him to intercede for you. He knows exactly what the problem is and what the best

God Is A Giver, Not A Taker-Joseph Prince

Romans 8:32 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Some Christians mistakenly believe that God gives and also takes away. At funerals, we sometimes hear the minister say, “The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” I remember an occasion when I was looking at a baby who was suffering from cancer. I heard one of his family members comment, “You can’t be sure what God’s will is. He may or may not heal.” What that person meant was that although the Lord had given the parents this baby, He might later take the baby away from them. Job displayed this very same attitude when he received the news that he had lost his property and children. Thinking that God was the source of his problems and not knowing that it was actually Satan who had come against him, he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked sh

Not Your Love But His Love

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10 The sum total of the law is to love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind (Matthew 22:37–40). But let me ask you this: Has anybody ever been able to love the Lord with all his heart, all his soul and all his mind and? The answer is obvious. Not a single person has been able to do that. And God knew all the while that under the law, no one could love Him that perfectly. So do you know what He did? He sent His Son Jesus. When He did that, He was effectively saying this to us: “I know that you can’t love Me perfectly, so watch Me now. I will love you with all My heart, all My soul, all My mind and all My strength.” And He stretched His arms wide and died for us! My friend, take time to get this into your heart today: The cross is not a demonstration of our perfect love and devotion to God. The cross is God

Nothing Can Stand Up To God’s Love-Joseph Prince

Romans 8:35 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? The pastor of our Hokkien and Mandarin congregations, Pastor Mark, used to suffer from certain health problems before he became a Christian. His doctor told him that he had to be on medication for life. He also had a huge financial debt. But when he caught hold of the teaching that he is God’s beloved, he believed it totally. He also believed that nothing could be greater than God’s love for him. Today, Pastor Mark is off medication and completely delivered from that debt. God caused him to triumph over his sickness and debt because he cannot be defeated when he knows that he is God’s beloved. Tribulation, distress or persecution cannot stop your heavenly Father’s love from working on your behalf. His love for you is bigger and stronger than your financial woes, marital

Speak Out Your Righteousness

But the righteousness of faith speaks… Romans 10:6 Let me share something powerful with you about righteousness. In Romans 10:6, God’s Word tells us that the “righteousness of faith speaks” .Now, what does this mean? It means that God encourages us to not just believe in our hearts that we are righteous, but to also SPEAK it out! So righteous one, declare your righteousness. Every day, boldly say, “Father, I thank You that I am righteous in Christ, not because of what I have done, but because of what Christ has done. It’s a gift and I receive it with all my heart.” I believe that when you speak and declare your righteousness, good things happen. You become conscious of all the blessings and all the promises that are due the righteous. Instead of disqualifying yourself, you’ll start to believe God for good success, favor and wisdom. Experiencing provision becomes effortless because you know your right standing in Christ. So stop disqualifying yourself an

The Prince Of Peace Is With You

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39 Panic filled the storm-tossed boat as icy water crashed in. Within minutes, the disciples were screaming over the howling winds, “Jesus, don’t you care? We’re drowning!” Sound asleep in the boat, the Prince of Peace awoke and rose to His feet at the cry of His disciples. Unfazed by the wind and waves, He pointed to the storm and said, “Peace, be still!” Immediately, the turbulent waters became as smooth as glass. Beloved, if you’re grappling with a challenging situation right now, take heart. The Prince of Peace resides in you. No matter how bad the storm is, you are NOT going under, but going OVER to the other side safely! When you feel overwhelmed, just cry out to Him. Feed on how He is your peace. Meditate on how He is with you and for you. His peace will flood your heart and bring peace to every stormy situation i

Compassion With Action-Joseph Prince

Luke 7:13 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” My friend, there is no trial, difficulty or challenge we face today that our Lord Jesus cannot identify with. The moment we experience a trial, right there and then, because He “was in all points tempted as we are” (Hebrews 4:15), He feels it too and is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. Jesus’ compassion for you is the same compassion He felt for the widow at Nain when He saw the dead body of her only son being carried out of the city gate to be buried. (Luke 7:11–15) It must have been terrible for her to experience the death of her only son after having already experienced the death of her husband. What a horrible thought to be left all alone in the world with no means of support! When Jesus saw her, He was moved with compassion and said to her, “Do not weep.” Now, some religious leaders might also be moved to approach her,

God Blesses You, The Righteous

Blessings are on the head of the righteous… Proverbs 10:6 Whenever you find a promise or blessing for the righteous in the Bible, grab hold of it by saying, “Father, I receive this blessing in Jesus’ name!” For example, when you read in Proverbs 10:6 that blessings are on the head of the righteous, say, “Thank You, Father, this promise is for ME because I have been made righteous through faith in Jesus and His finished work!” So every day, instead of fearing that lack will devour you, expect God’s provision and blessings to hunt you down and surround you! Expect good things to happen to you. Say, “Father, I thank You that Your blessings crown my head. Your bountiful provisions are upon me and my household!” Beloved, the more you begin to believe and speak words of abundance, provision and increase, the more you will experience the full blessings of the righteous! Blessings, Joseph Prince

Feed On The Tree Of Life

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20–22 When you watch documentaries or read news reports about a certain topic or problem, you’ll realize that often, no real solution is actually offered. The program or report will give you both the good and the bad in order to be objective, balanced and fair. So you’ll find that you don’t really gain anything, just more knowledge of what’s good and what’s evil regarding the topic. I’m not against watching documentaries or reading the news. But the problem with feeding your mind and soul with the knowledge of good and evil is that more often than not, with greater knowledge of a topic, you also become more confused, worried or fearful. My advice to you is to spend your time feeding on Jesus, who is the tree of life. When you

Supernaturally Multiplied Back To You-Joseph Prince

Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. It pleases God when we believe that He is the giver, the blesser and that “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. Such was the faith of Ruth the Moabitess. When she decided to make the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob her God, she found Him to be her rewarder, who lovingly provided for her, divinely guided her, jealously protected her, gloriously redeemed her from her hopeless situation and richly restored her life. Today, this same God says to you that He is your rewarder. And when He is involved in your life, you will be amply rewarded. Peter, the fisherman, would testify to that. His fishing boat, which represented his life, caught nothing the whole night. But in the morning, when the boat was returned to him after he had loaned it to Jesus

Guard Your Heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life Proverbs 4:23, NLT. The Bible tells us that the heart is where the issues of life spring forth. What we allow to enter our hearts will affect our thoughts, actions and even our bodies. In other words, the condition of one’s heart determines the course of one’s life! That is why Jesus, who bequeathed to us His peace, tells us, “…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). So if we want to walk in His peace and rest, we need to guard our hearts and not let them spiral into negative thoughts, worry and fear. The Book of Wisdom also tells us that a peaceful and cheerful heart promotes health (Proverbs 17:22). Beloved, there may be many things in our lives that we want to “guard,” such as our families, health or careers. But God wants us to guard our hearts above all else, and He will guard the rest! Peace In The Midst Of A Storm

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge… Psalm 91:1, 4 Whatever season you are in, whatever the circumstances surrounding you, the Lord is able to give you peace, security, covering and protection. You do not have to be afraid, even in the midst of a storm. The psalmist describes this beautifully: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.” There is no safer place in the universe than under the protective shelter of your Savior’s wings. It does not matter what kinds of circumstances may be raging around you. You can call on the Lord for His unmerited favor, protection and peace that surpasses all understanding. What blessed assurance you can have today, knowing that even if destruction

Who Do You Say Jesus Is?-Joseph Prince

Mark 8:29 29 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” Do you know that how you see Jesus determines what you receive from Him? If you see Jesus as your healer, you will receive healing. If you see Jesus as your refuge and fortress, you will receive protection. The people of Nazareth, Jesus’ hometown, saw Jesus in the natural. They said of Him, “Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?” (Matthew 13:55–56) They saw Jesus in the natural. They did not see Him as God in the flesh. As a result, He could not do many mighty works there. (Matthew 13:58) Today, many people, including some philosophers, see Jesus of Nazareth as a good person who led an exemplary life. They feel that if all of us could live our lives like Him, the world would be a better place

Just A Groan Will Reach God’s Throne-Joseph Prince

Romans 8:26 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Once, when my father was hospitalized, I remember driving as fast as I could to the hospital to see him because his condition was deteriorating rapidly. I was just sobbing in my car on the way there. I didn’t know what to pray. So I just cried and prayed in tongues, groaning in my spirit. I believe that at that very low point, the Holy Spirit was helping me in my weaknesses — “For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”. The events that soon unfolded in the hospital convinced me that just a groan or sigh will reach the throne of our Abba Father. I managed to reach the hospital just in time to clasp my father’s han

Believe Right And Live Right

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life… Proverbs 11:30 The more you receive revelation of your right standing with God, the more you’ll experience areas of your life turning out right. This includes your physical health, which means that the organs in your body—your heart, lungs, stomach, kidneys, liver—will begin to function correctly, more and more so as you grow in the revelation of your righteousness in Christ. More and more you’ll experience divine strength, health, wholeness and life in your body. When you know that you are right with the Lord, your mind will also start to be right and become stable, sound and filled with peace. Depression will no longer be able to squat or linger in your mind or soul. Fears, panic attacks and phobias will evaporate and a new excitement, boldness and an expectation of good will come on you and cause you to experience the blessings that God has for you! Beloved, I urge you to grow in the revelation that yo

Set Your Love Upon Jesus-Joseph Prince

Psalm 91:14 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. Jesus was in a house in Bethany when a woman came to Him with an alabaster flask containing very costly fragrant oil. She poured the oil on His head. (Matthew 26:6–7) This woman loved the Lord. She had set her love upon Him. But those who were present considered what she did a great waste because the oil could have been sold for an amount equal to one year’s wages, and the money given to the poor instead. Even Jesus’ disciples were indignant and asked her, “Why this waste?” (Matthew 26:8) But Jesus defended her, saying, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.” (Matthew 26:10) Not only that, He accorded her the highest honor when He added, “Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as

Right Happenings Come From Jesus

…the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11 Never forget that “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…but time and chance happen to them all .” God wants you to have the right timing—His timing, and He wants to lead you to the right places. Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord …” You are that “good man” because you are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Now, look at the word “happen” in Ecclesiastes 9:11. In the original Hebrew text, it is the word qarah, which means “to encounter, to meet (without pre-arrangement), to chance to be present.” In a nutshell, it means “right happening.” So you can depend on the Lord to cause you to be at the right place at the right time, to have right happenings happen in your life! I’m sure

Rest And Find God’s Grace-Joseph Prince

Luke 2:40 40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. The verse says that the grace of God was upon Jesus. The Bible also says that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more. (Romans 5:20) And when you put the two together, you may find yourself asking, “If the grace of God was upon Jesus, does it mean that He sinned?” No, Jesus did not sin. (2 Corinthians 5:21) So there must be another explanation as to why God’s grace was upon Jesus. There must be another explanation as to why someone can abound in God’s grace even when he has not sinned. Let’s look at the word “grace” when it is first mentioned in the Bible. Genesis 6:8 says that “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord”. Noah’s name means “rest”. So the verse is telling us that rest found grace. In other words, when you rest, you find grace! So grace was upon Jesus because His life was a life of rest an

There Is Just Something Special About You-Joseph Prince

Isaiah 60:1 1 Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. People might have said to you, “Why are you so lucky?” or “You seem to be looking younger and younger,” or “There is so much bad news these days, yet you seem untroubled by them.” Now, the people of the world don’t have spiritual discernment. They can only go by your physical appearance, behavior and what happens to you. In other words, if they notice something different about you, it is because they see the evidence of God’s glory on your life — in your family and work life, health and finances. Your friends and colleagues may have told you that you stand out from the rest as though a spotlight were on you. Indeed, this is so because of Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27) When God’s glory rises upon you, your words carry weight, even if you are not eloquent. I should know. I stuttered and stammered right up int

He Was Crushed For Your Wholeness

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14, NLT Why does the Bible talk about anointing the sick with oil? Is there something magical about the holy anointing oil? No, my friend. When we anoint our sick bodies with oil, we are simply releasing our faith in Jesus’ finished work. He was crushed for our iniquities so that we can be made whole. Before anointing oil can be made, olive fruit must be crushed in a press. Likewise, before healing can be dispensed to us, Jesus had to be crushed. His crushing began at Gethsemane, which means “oil press”, and continued at the scourging post, ending only with His death at the cross. Beloved, whenever you use the yoke-destroying anointing oil (Isaiah 10:27), see Jesus crushed for your healing. See the agony that He endured in order for His healing grace to be righteously bestowed upon you. As you meditate

The Power To Sin No More

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1, NASB Today, I want to talk about how you can have a victorious thought life. I know that you may experience temptations and sinful thoughts from time to time. But here’s the thing: Right in the midst of that temptation, you need to know that there “ is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Notice that this verse is in the present tense. Right now, even if at this very moment, sinful thoughts are going through your mind, there is no condemnation because you are IN CHRIST JESUS! You cannot stop birds from flying over your head, but you can certainly stop a bird from building a nest on your head. In the same way, you cannot stop temptations, sinful thoughts and desires from passing through your mind, but you can certainly stop yourself from acting on them. How? By confessing at the very moment of temptation that you are the righteousness of God in C
