Do not cling to the past

Are there events of the past that are haunting you in your christian life?
Sometimes past events be they sin or mistakes can continuously drag us back in our walk with God.
The Good News Bible Version of Isaiah 43:18 states "But the Lord Says, Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing that I am going to do, it is happening already, you can see it now."

The word of God is asking us to put the past behind us and forge ahead in victory. there is certainly more and better things ahead than whatever we might have lost in the past.
Dwelling on past mistakes and sins will not help us grow in the Lord.. Wherever we fell, let us rise up from the place and continue the journey, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
