Our mouth was filled with laughter

When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.”
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we rejoiced.

Psalm 126:1-2

They shall come home with shouts of joy,
Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like the watercourses in the Negeb.
May those who sow in tears
reap with shouts of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
carrying their sheaves.
Psalm 126:3-5

We would have been swallowed alive by our enemies

If the Lord had not been on our side,
Let all Israel admit it
If the Lord had not been on our side,
We would have been swallowed alive by our enemies
Destroyed by their anger,
we would have been drowned beneath the flood of these men’s fury and pride.
Psalm 124:1-5

We have escaped with our lives
Blessed be Jehovah who has not let them devour us
We have escaped with our lives as a bird from a hunter’s snare.
The snare is broken and we are free.
Our help is from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 124: 6-8

Armloads of salvation

Oh Israel, hope in the Lord,
for he is loving and kind
and comes to us with armloads of salvation
Psalm 130 :7

He will deliver
He himself will ransom Israel
from her slavery to sin
Psalm 130 :8
