Do not shun change-Christine Caine urges Churches-Isabella Gyau Orhin

The co-founder of the A21 Campaign, an anti- human trafficking organization, Christine Caine has urged believers not be afraid of change since the church was birthed in change.

She said the last commandment of Jesus for Christians to go into the world and preach the gospel should be the first priority of the church today and that Holy Spirit gives the church the power to be witnesses and not to be a strange society.

Speaking at the Empowered 21 Global Conference in Jerusalem in Israel last Friday, Christine Caine who is also an author said the church should be dynamic and not confuse attitude with beliefs.

“The Holy Spirit is all about transformation, God is calling us to be continuously changing,” she said adding “We should not confuse methodology with orthodoxy.”

According to her, the almighty God is not worried about trends in the world as such the church should be bold to confront the issues and bring salvation to a suffering world.
The Holy Spirit she said came into the world like a mighty rushing of wind and that day 3,000 souls were saved. She explained that Peter who was not bold became bold due to the power of the Holy Spirit to change people and events.

“We have been empowered by the Holy Ghost to bring heaven to earth, the church should not run away from the world or be irrelevant in the face of all that is happening around us, we can bring life and hope to a broken world,” Caine explained further.

She said the church should not shun away from people with tattoos, bad smoking habits or other social vices since they could be candidates for heaven.

Quoting Isaiah 43: 18-19 Caine further admonished the church not to dwell on the past since God is doing a new thing. “God always has brand new things in store, we always think God is rebranding, or is having a makeover or face-lift but God is doing something completely new.”
She said God is working through various means and building His church using ‘Discipleship and evangelism; gifts and fruits; male and female; young and old; preaching and healing; anointing and teaching among others to advance His kingdom.
Christine Caine said Christians are God’s love letter to a broken world.

“We have put religious rules on ourselves but we don’t have to run away from the world, we should move into the world and win souls for the kingdom,” she said adding, “We have to bring yesterday into today so we can transform tomorrow.”
The President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah  led a delegation of over 200 pastors, leaders and members from various churches in Ghana to the conferences which opened on the 20th of May in Jerusalem.

The Empowered 21 Global Conference is a worldwide Pentecostal Movement with a vision to promote Holy Spirit centred evangelism to enable the world’s people have an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit  by  Pentecost, 2033.
