Water Works District in Teshie-Nungua gets new Mission House
The Teshie-Nungua Area has dedicated yet another Mission
House for the newly created Water Works District with Pastor Emmanuel Ayisi
Mensah as the District Pastor.
The ground floor of the house has a guest house, a kitchen,
store, living and dining rooms, while the next floor has four bedrooms and a
family area.
At a special ceremony to dedicate the building to the Glory
of God, the Area Head, Prophet James Osei Amaniampong explained that the land
on which the new mission house is sited was acquired by the Administration of
his predecessor Apostle Rigwell Ato Addision. He said though there were some structures
on the land, building experts advised that they should be pulled down to make
way for fresh construction.
Initially, the place was turned into a warehouse of the Area
with the erection of a temporary structure to keep logistics while there were
several ideas on how to utilize the land including using it for the
construction of an Area Mission House. Finally, it was decided that the land
would be used for the construction of a residence for the Water Works District
pastor.
Prophet Amaniampong said the building was in line with the
Area’s vision to improve the living conditions of Pastors in the Area.
Funds for the
construction came from Area and individuals among other sources.
Prophet Amanimapong was grateful to Elder Alfred Quainoo,
for donating the plan for the construction of the house without accepting
anything in return. He was also grateful to the District and Area Estate
Committees as well as Building experts from the Headquarters of the Church who
all supervised the construction to a successful completion.
He said the District Pastor and his executives also played a
key role in the quick execution of the project to meet the need of the
district.
He urged the church members to indulge in door to door
evangelism, visiting backsliders, community outreach programmes as well as
Friday morning prayers to improve membership in the district.
Construction of the building started a little over six
months ago.
